I am so thankful to find an extra wide shoe that really is extra wide. This shoe appears in the 10/06 issue of a well-known consumer magazine, which rates walking shoes. It's not top rated, but all the other shoes in the test were canvas-style, i.e., sneakers while this is a dress shoe. If you are between sizes, select the larger, but don't add 1/2 size. I did and had to return the 1st pair.

A lot less hassle than going to the shoe store. Good shoe, good price and fast delivery! Have had two pair previously and Rockports are an outstanding shoe in my opinion. It's taken me years to where I can truly say I have settled on them. Finding my size when I want it however has been a problem at the shoe stores I usually visit. Not so with ShoeBuy. So far so good. Super fast delivery and price is very competitive. Haven't used the return program yet but judging by the way they have set it up, these guys know what they're doing.

For years I bought all the top brands of shoes believing that they must be the best because of price and advertisement....but then I found this! It doesn't get any better! These shoes fit, are light, comfortable, look great and seem to never wear out. I wear them for all occasions except formal...but I have another pair of them for those times. I was going to say "It's Rockports or barefoot for me!" but I thought you would think that that was over the top....but it isn't!!

I am very happy with this shoe. I have had a long term problem with swelling of feet and lower legs due to fluid retention and must have a lace shoe that laces deep into the instep. Ironically, I have had a recent turn for the better so the extra wide might be a bit more than I needed. I have totally worn out a prior similar pair because it has been the only shoe that I have had that is versatile enough for at least semi dress wear in addition to casual. The Rockport particularly in this style and color is THE most versatile of any shoe I have owned - the rather neutral color combines with a dressier casual look to allow them to be worn with any casual wear and even with a dressier smart casual outfit. And they are comfortable for walking in addition to being okay for social occasions.
